We play too much... on PURPOSE!
Let’s Get Social Raleigh (LGSR) is a grassroots, wellness-forward organization using play and nature-based community programs to confront the public health crisis of loneliness, burnout, and chronic stress — key drivers of depression and suicide.
Our experiences create joy-centered spaces that improve mental well-being, rebuild social connection, and strengthen healthier, more resilient communities.
This is more than self-care. It’s community care. With your support, we can build a future where adult loneliness and suicide are no longer silent crises.
Come outside, connect, and play with us.

We’re More Than Social. We’re
SOULFUL!

Our kid-free experiences disrupt the work–home–sleep–repeat cycle and strengthen the social fabric of our cities. Through play, nature, and community, we create safe, joy-centered spaces where adults can pause, feel seen, and reconnect with their inner child and each other.
Too often, adults carry silent trauma born not only from hardship, but from abandoning play. Somewhere between work emails and bills, we forget that joy is medicine and connection is a form of care.
Why Cities Partner With Us
Most municipal programs are designed kids and families, yet adults make up the majority of the population. Where do adults go to play, connect, and breathe again?
There’s an emerging opportunity for cities to reimagine community wellness by creating inclusive, adult focused experiences that reduce stress, improve mental health, and strengthen civic pride.
Let’s Get Social Raleigh helps municipalities close that gap. We activate underused public spaces, reimagine wellness through play, and design people-first experiences that foster belonging, trust, and joy.
When cities invest in play, connection, and wellness, they’re not just creating events, they’re strengthening community bonds, and elevating quality of life for their residents.
Economic & Community Development Impact
Our programs also generate measurable economic value. Each activation drives foot traffic to local businesses, increases park and venue utilization, and supports small vendors and entrepreneurs. By reactivating public spaces and hosting experiences that attract diverse adult audiences, we help cities boost local spending and foster inclusive economic growth.

Real Words From Real People
Michele created Let's Get Social Raleigh because she believes no one should have to heal alone.

She knows that everyone is fighting their own battles, and no matter how strong we are, we all need community. Michele often says, “Most of the ills that plague us as individuals and as a community can be healed if we build more bridges than walls.” For her, play, nature, and authentic connections are those bridges.
A retired Marine with 20 years of service, two combat deployments, and diagnoses of PTSD, anxiety, and depression, Michele found healing in unexpected places: nature offered calm, play brought back laughter, and authentic community gave her the freedom to live in her truth and vulnerability.
She wanted others to tap into their own healing journey—and that’s how Let’s Get Social Raleigh evolved into the grassroots organization it is today.
